Pashmina
The Panchachuli Co-op sends a group each August who treks in to Tibet to the Tibetan Pashmina market. The Tibetans save some of the limited amount of Pashmina (they are occupied you know) for the Panchachuli ladies. The ladies trek it back and then create incredible pure Lena Pashmina scarves, stoles, shawls, throws and blankets. The Pashmina is the thinnest warmest natural fiber known to us and it keep us warm in winter and cool in the summer. Pure Lena Pashmina is an amazing natural product that lets your body breath and yet keeps you cool or warm.

Tibet is the home of the high altitude loving Himalayan goats. These goats give us the very rare pure Pashmina. The Tibetan herders shave their Himalayan goat’s tummies in the summer to keep the animals cool. The animals are never harmed in the process. The goats under tummy hair are pure Pashmina and that is very rare to find pure Lena Pashmina products. Usually the Pashmina when sold from China and other countries are mixed with non organic silk and or other synthetic materials taking away the wools warmth and healing properties. These products are a rare find.
